Match report In cold damp windy conditions a fantastic 198 run opening partnership between Steve Byford and young James Malyon laid the foundations for an emphatic win over Stansted 2nd XI. Steve was first out for 72 but James went on to complete a well earned 102 before being caught, this despite being dropped without scoring! The 2nd team reached 257 for 3 from 43 overs after loosing 2 overs to rain.
As the players managed to dodge the surrounding heavy showers Stansted were bowled out for 104 with Dutchy and Mally both claiming 3 wickets.
An excellent first league win of the year and the first infront of our new pavilion!
