Match report With Matching Green looking for revenge for a 3 run loss last season, Matching Green won the toss and put Takeley into bat.

It was a good start for Matching with Luke taking two wickets in two balls. Max also bowled well, taking three wickets and was the most economical bowler of the innings. Takeley however kept the scoreboard ticking over throughout reaching a total of 236-8 from their 45 overs.

Matching Green lost Biffa and Sam Figg early on but a partnership of 128 between Hobbsey and Si Jeffery saw Matching Green into a strong position of 188-3 from 38 overs. The Matching Green middle order then had the collapse of all collapses losing 6 wickets for just 14 runs including Hobbsey, who batted brilliantly for his 138. Ben and Max put on a little bit of a show in the last over but Matching Green fell 15 runs short in another close game vs Takeley.
