  • Matching Legend. We are not worthy. MGCC's 1970's equivalent of Barry Sheene. Weaver is truly one of the most talented left-handed batsmen the club has ever produced.

    In his pomp, Weave strolled to the crease with frizzy hair, spectacles and a multi-coloured head-band before punishing errant bowling to all parts. Prodicious run-scorer who has notched up over 25+ centuries for the club. Used to be an express bowler earning him the nickname of ' Whispering Death' before age cruelly caught up with him in the late 1980's.
