Just to keep everyone updated ...
Our NHS Appeal has been received very well so massive thanks to everyone that has contributed so far.
We are in regular contact with the Critical Care Team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. As well as all the fantastic donated goods, we are also now in a great position to start purchasing items of absolute, direct need.
Apart from regular deliveries of fruit, drinks, snacks, sweets, toiletries etc we have, today, supplied enough money to pay for pizzas for all Critical Care staff at the end of their shift tomorrow. This was a specific request from the Critical Care Matron who said that the team needed a bit of a morale boost. I'm sure you will agree, the least we can do if provide bit of light relief with takeaway pizzas for 70 brave staff.
The total cash raised in the last 24 hours is an incredible £700. Today I've bought 144 pairs of socks (cost £60). These should hopefully be available tomorrow.
I will be making further purchases in the next few days dependant on what they require.
So a massive thank you for all your wonderful support.
BUT, we are not going to stop here! We are adding these latest items to the previously published list...
- New hairbrushes and combs (not used please)
- Mouthwash
- Foot Cream
- Tweezers (new please)
- Pots of Noodles
- Facial Wipes
- Mobile Phone Power Packs
- Lip Balms
So, if you do eventually get a Tesco delivery, or you brave the trip to the shops, please add a few of these items to your shop and put them in one of the boxes, either at 8 Colvers, on the pavilion veranda or at Woodbine Cottage, White Roding.
Thank you and PLEASE KEEP SAFE
