Hi all

What a wonderful morning for Thursday Club! The sun was out and there was plenty of late Summer warmth in the air so we were all able to sit outside. And a good job as we had a record 32 attendees today! Thank you to every one that came along. It was especially nice to see Denise and Sally (they know!!) and Joe Perry and his wife. Joe enjoyed reminiscing about his playing days on the Green over 40 years ago. He's looking forward to next season and coming to watch come cricket.

As we mentioned earlier, next Thursday is "Thank Gary (The Postman) Day". The collection is building nicely. If you would like to contribute, please pop it in to either Jill Martin or Sue Woodhead.

We are expecting an even bigger turnout next week and are therefore asking for cake donations to make sure there are plenty to go around. So, if you can spare the time, please bake a lovely cake and bring it with you next Thursday.
