Dear Parents and Carers,
We are incredibly excited to announce that due to the fantastic growth of our junior section, we will be fielding two teams this summer!
Please find attached a PDF of this summer's fixture list.
With over 20 matches scheduled across the season, this means more game time, more development, and more fun for our colts. However, to make this summer a success, we need your help. With two teams occasionally playing simultaneously, our current coaching staff is stretched. To safely and successfully run a match, we rely on a "Team of Three" volunteer structure for each game:

1x Match Manager / Support Coach: To organize the batting order and keep the team focused.

1x Umpire: To stand in the middle and help officiate.

1x Scorer: To keep track of the runs (we can teach you how to use the club iPad/scorebook!).
Without these three roles filled for every match, it will be difficult to fulfill the attached fixtures. We do not expect you to do this alone. To ensure you feel fully equipped, the club is thrilled to fully fund the ECB Support Coach course for any parent willing to step up. This is a brilliant, entry-level introduction to coaching and match management but should be enough for any parent look for a support structure to help with match day acticities. We have identified two upcoming Essex Cricket courses:

Stepping up as a volunteer is incredibly rewarding and is vital to keeping grassroots cricket alive for our children. You don’t need to be a cricket expert - just enthusiastic and willing to get involved!
It is genuinely exciting that we are now in a position to offer more official fixtures and bring more competitive cricket to our growing juniors. By stepping up to help, you aren't just making this season possible, you are helping us set the future foundations for the entire cricket club.
