Thrashing! Top batting from Spider and Tom and Sam Figg. Good bowling from Figg, Junior and P Stiles. Junior taking a top catch at point! Jonty Rhodes Style!
Matching's Winless Streak Continues
Woe as both sides feel the pain of defeat
MGCC I chase the dragon ............
MGCC 1st's bowling weakness' was more than evident on Saturday as Takeley piled on a gigantic 333 -4 in only 45 overs in a Div 1 H&E league clash.
Schoolboy Pete Stiles was the pick of the MGCC bowlers with an impressive spell of 5 overs for 16 runs. The rest of the attack suffered a brutal hammering as the hosts laid into anything bowled into the slot. The tribesmen from the African village must have thought their huts were under attack as the sixes just kept on raining down on top of them.
333-4 was a mighty impressive score as the MGCC players dragged themselves off for a well earned 'cuppa.
In reply, the Figg boys - Tom (33) and Sam (41) performed well with the willow. Skipper Graeme Bowerman (87) top-scored to earn his team some valuable bonus points.
